Dr. Christopher Brown
Role models can often times have a major influence in a person’s life. For Dr. Brown, it was that of his father, a well-respected and consummate profession family dentist for over 40 years. Following in his father’s footsteps, Dr. Brown graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from LSU in 1978. Two days later, he entered the US Navy and served for 3 years in the Dental Corps for the 9th fleet. Then he began his private practice of family dentistry joining his dad on the westbank of New Orleans. Upon his retirement from practice, Dr. Brown then expanded the clinic to include doctors specializing in each different discipline of dentistry so that the concept of fully integrated comprehensive dental treatment could be realized. Proudly, this concept then became a model for many future dental clinics.
During Dr. Brown’s professional career, he has also held his faculty position at the LSU Dental School, as teaching has always been a strong passion of his. Now, as his career winds down, Dr. Brown is able to focus on a very specific aspect of health relative to unusual pain of the head and neck, a truly challenging discipline. He has limited his practice to focus on oral facial pain and TMJ and TMD health issues. For more information about our treatment approach to TMJ and TMD Health, click here.
Dr. Brown has been able to expand his “play-time” to include exploring other countries and learning new cooking skills. Dr. Brown also enjoys just relaxing at home with Melanie, his beautiful wife of 40 years and the houseful of rescue pets.
